After my “Summer of Wasp Trouble” in Alaska (*see also Podcast Episode #1) , I was none too excited when this bee-like creature (shoot, I don’t know which kind–the tropical kind) buzzed up and into my biz-nass, which was eggs and toast. But the toast was white bread and even though it’s snobby and wasteful, Homie (me) don’t usually do white bread (Homie’s person supplies enough of that as it.) Baby Monkey on a Leash, or “Nuthin’ to See Here”

This little creature lives in the place I’m currently staying in Ubud, Bali. He seems happy enough, has friends to play with (including an adorable puppy of similar size), and wants for nothing…aside from his jungle home (minor detail…). I dunno what to say about this one–but as long as you can suspend some level of judgment, his “squeak” is adorable.

Drive (or scoot) your way around 20 minutes (or if you’re a cautious grandma like me–45) out of bustling Ubud and be asked about “Cold Drink” and “Taxiiii” next to a textbookily gorgouso fall of water instead.
